The producers in this specific area of Tenejapa are predominantly Tzetal-speaking Maya, who cultivate coffee using traditional agroecological practices – often alongside maize, beans, and fruit trees – preserving both biodiversity and culture. The resulting coffees are smooth yet structured, with layered sweetness, subtle citrus notes, and a floral elegance that mirrors the coffee flower itself.
