About

After more than 25 years in the "Corporate World" of the Information Technology sector, the founder of Asante changed his professional and personal life and founded Asante due to his growing passion for the consumption of speciality coffees. It maintains the convinced idea that this “new” culture of speciality coffee consumption will have a high growth rate in view of its late initiation in Portugal.

Asante will have strict control in the value chain from green coffee, i.e., the focus of the business will be the creation of a modern and technologically innovative roasting method from a reputed manufacturer, up to the specific grinding for the type of “Brew” that the customer wants, precisely to make the most of all the flavors and characteristics of roasted coffee from each Origin.

We want to be known as a Speciality Coffee Boutique. All Asante coffees will have a maximum shelf life of 45 days after roasting. This way we will be forced to roast small batches – “Small Batches” each time to maximize the freshness of the coffee, or the correct management of Demand vs Capacity of our first Roaster. Asante will want to foster a culture of "Slow Coffee Enjoyment", as everyday life is already too frenetic.

We want to provide unique experiences in our space with a welcoming atmosphere , where coffee will be the central topic of conversations.

ASANTE means THANK YOU in Swahili and northern Mozambique (Macondes), where the name is in line with the values of the project promoters. We want to thank all stakeholders for visiting us or purchasing our products and at the same time respect all the hard work of farmers in all countries where we buy green coffee.
